Guidelines for Professionalism
Image is Everything
Course Development and Web Services receive numerous phone
calls and unexpected visitors seeking information and support
related to the various courses we offer. Employees are expected
to respond in a professional manner, both in terms of oral and
written communication. The way employees present themselves
when dealing with faculty members is especially important to
our success.
Housekeeping
Course Development and Web Services is a cool place of work and
is frequented by many visitors. Please remember to pick up the
mess around your work area. If you put something in the
refrigerator, be sure you label it.
If you don't, two
things could happen: One, if someone's very hungry, they
could eat what's not claimed, and two, the refrigerator
will be cleaned out periodically (or when it starts to smell)
and all undated or "old" items will be discarded.
Dress
Employees are asked to report to work dressed appropriately for
the type of work performed. Casual attire is permitted, but
clothing that makes us RANDY is discouraged.
Headphones
If you want to get in the groove with your favorite music, headphones
must be worn You should bring your own. Remember, not everyone can swing to the same tunes,
so use your headphones at all times.
